The estate of Cor
A natural viticulture
Around the old castle hill, in the center of the estate, a geography of seventy hectares of vineyards partly in organic conversion and partly dedicated to resistant varieties such as Solaris, Aromera and Johannitter, which represent the new frontier of contemporary viticulture, as they are naturally resistant to parasites and do not require phytosanitary treatments.
In addition to the classic Glera DOC, Moscato, Pinot Nero, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, in organic conversion, the Cor estate hosts the resistant varieties Solaris, only white berry with its explosive aroma, the Aromera, “moscateggiante”, the beautiful Johannitter, a magical crossing of Riesling grape varietals.
One key difference: the climate
Here in the morning a layer of frost covers the leaves, the sun warms a little less and the stony ground brings stronger scents to the grapes.
From time to time it is necessary to reverse the perspective, look from the other side of the telescope, escape from the comfort zone. And in fact, here in via Cor, you are right on the other side of the DOCG Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene, on the other ridge. But with one fundamental difference: the climate.
The 400 mts above sea level allow the vines to grow at a lower temperature than in traditional production areas. Here in the morning a layer of frost covers the leaves, the sun warms a little less and the stony ground brings stronger scents to the grapes.
